Meet Brooke Ballantine Redmond, MD, FAAP
from Central Ohio Newborn Medicine

Dr. Redmond began her career as a high school biology teacher and held research positions at both the Harvard School of Public Health and Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, before attending medical school at Columbia University. Redmond joined Central Ohio Newborn Medicine because of the “collaborative, supportive spirit of the group.”

All aspects of Dr. Redmond’s work center around improving the care of babies, a mission close to her heart as the mother of two daughters. After the birth of her first daughter, Dr. Redmond became a Certified Lactation Consultant, integrating breastfeeding expertise into her clinical work as a result of her personal exposure to the benefits and challenges new mothers encounter during the feeding process.

Focused on improving methods of and advancing clinical practice, Dr. Redmond is devoted to continued research and has presented her peer-reviewed work across the country and internationally.

Dr. Redmond is the recipient of the Amherst College Class of 1954 Commitment to Teaching Award and a Gold Humanism Honor Society Inductee. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Dr. Redmond resides in Dublin with her husband, two daughters and her rescue dog and cats. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy spending time as a family biking, running, and enjoying Columbus’ parks, museums and festivals.
